Emergency Training

Fire Extinguisher Training

Having the ability to extinguish a fire in its early stages before it becomes a genuine threat to people and property is an invaluable skill for your staff to learn. Fire Safe ANZ will efficiently train your key staff in the use of fire extinguishers, fire hose reels and fire blankets in our Fire Safety and Awareness Training course.

Our Course includes:

  • What is fire – the chemical makeup and growth
  • Classification of fire
  • Extinguishment theory
  • Identify types of firefighting equipment in your workplace (i.e hydrants, extinguishers, alarms, etc)
  • Types of fire extinguishers and which fire classes they can be used on
  • Practical training sessions

Each course caters from 1-8 people and, depending on class size, will take between 20-40 minutes to complete.

Fire Warden Training

Our fire warden training course will provide you and your staff with the required skills to ensure they are equipped to deal with any workplace emergency which may arise.

Our course Includes:

  • What is a Warden?
  • Emergency Situations
  • The Evacuation Plan
  • Firefighting equipment
  • Practical exercise.

Each course caters from 1-6 people and, depending on class size, will take around 60 minutes to complete.

You will learn how to raise an alarm in an emergency and differentiate between the different types of alarm (Alert Tone and Evacuation Tone). We will then show you how to efficiently and safety evacuate your building and what procedures you need to have in place to do this.

We can also advise you on the number of wardens needed at your site depending on the size of the facility. We will teach your nominated wardens to carry out workplace assessments to see what potential risks there are and how likely they are to occur. We can then work together to show you how to limit these risks and also learn how to deal with them if an emergency arose.

There are a number of emergency situations which might require the evacuation of a building including, but not limited to:

  • Fire and/or smoke
  • Explosions
  • Leakage of dangerous gases or fumes
  • Bomb threat or sabotage
  • Floods and bushfires
  • Earthquake or structural damage.
