Fire Hose Reels

Fire hose reels are usually located next to exits of buildings and are sited to enable coverage of the entire floor of a building. They are only suitable for use on Class A fires (paper, wood, rubbish and plastics).

They are designed to deliver, as a minimum, 0.33L of water per second, providing a high volume of extinguishment to the site of a fire. A control nozzle attached to the end of the hose enables the operator to control the direction and flow of water to the fire.

As the hose reel is connected to the mains water it means that there is a continuous supply of water.

Fire Safe ANZ carries out all fire hose reel testing according to AS 1851.14.
